We finished yesterday the annual meeting of the Working Group on Marine Habitat Mapping (WGMHM) @icesmarine.bsky.social, that this year was hosted by @afbini.gov.uk. Very nice and interesting week with great experts and friends dicussing aspects to enhance the use of habitat mapping in ICES advice.

SNHS includes research on soil carbon (C) stocks in NI’s farmland aiming to provide a baseline assessment of above/below ground C stocks + assessment of deep soil C, up to 1m bit.ly/4nQzk3e. AFBI has appointed soil carbon measurement supplier Agricarbon as a delivery agent to support this research.

AFBI has confirmed registration for the fourth & final year of the Soil Nutrient Health Scheme (SNHS) closed on 8 September. Across NI a total of 92.5% of all farm businesses have now registered to participate in the Scheme.
