Great to see the Young Dons of @afc.co.uk bringing home one of the World's most magnificent trophies. And her is the man who donated it in 189o (and the one from 1887 that was handed to the original Aberdeen to keep after they won the first two tournaments.)

Funny what crops up in #TheAberdeenCollection -
here, a very dapper Willie Miller poses in the Unipart Store in a photoshoot for a programme advert. We have yet to get an exact date for this one but it looks very early 80s. Thankfully Willie didn't give up the day job.

Patch of the Day from #TheAberdeenCollection - well, a blazer badge really but along the same lines. We have not yet figured out the age of this one.

Patch of the Day from #TheAberdeenCollection - looks like this one predates the @afc.co.uk official logo so falls back on the City coat of arms.

Patch of the Day - from #TheAberdeenCollection - this one was brought home by the Washington Whips in 1967 so even if it doesn't look it, it is a part of #Dandies history.

No apologies for reposting this, the cover from today’s programme. This will be someone’s first ever game and the programme is a physical memento of a day he or she will never forget, a unique snapshot in the life of a football club. These pieces of history must not die #BHAFC

And another one in #TheAberdeenCollection -presumably produced to tie in with the Admiral yellow Dons' strip of 1976-77.
If only we had one of those shirts to go with it...

There are a good few patches in #TheAberdeenCollection but we bet there are loads of scarves and jackets festooned with more out there. Pics anybody?

Fifty-five years ago today @afc.co.uk announced that a clock would be erected at the back of the South Terrace. It would become a well known landmark and meeting place on matchdays.
