Piero Hincapié has said yes to Arsenal and personal terms have been agreed, long term deal ready!

Understand Hincapié favors Arsenal and also seen as ideal signing by Arteta.

Arsenal prepare opening bid, likely loan + obligation to buy… with Kiwior to FC Porto, soon.

Wow, what a turnaround!
afcmhr.bsky.social
Agreed. The level of spending this summer has been high and given we'll probably recuperate around c. £50m-£60m (I hope) for Kiwior, Zinchenko, Nelson and Vieira - it does make me thing we might see a big sale elsewhere but hopefully not.
afcmhr.bsky.social
That's two starting 11's right there. Obviously with Kiwior and Zinchenko, Nelson, Vieira likely to leave before the end of the window.

Arsenal want a left-sided defender as a priority this summer, with Piero Hincapie emerging as a strong candidate. Arsenal’s recruitment staff have watched Hincapie extensively.

Arsenal are working on a deal to sign Piero Hincapie if they manage to move players out before the transfer window shuts.

Hincapie’s preference is to join Arsenal and Arsenal are ready to push for him, should departures materialise.

If both leave, I can see Arsenal adding another. Our defence depth would be White, Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Mosquera, Calafiori and MLS.

We know Timber and Calafiori can be injury prone and White had a big surgery last year too. A couple of simultaneous injuries and we could look a bit light.

Porto are going big for Kiwior. After having a bid rejected in July, they want to come back for him.

If Kiwior and Zinchenko leave, Arsenal could add another left sided defender who can play CB/LB.

Arsenal have received a boost after scans suggested neither Saka nor Odegaard have sustained long-term injuries.

It remains unclear if the pair will be available to face the league champions on August 31.

Mikel Arteta: "Martin felt something in his shoulder when he landed, we have to scan it tomorrow.

"Bukayo was running with the ball, he felt something in his hamstring. It's the other one, not the same from last season. He felt something when sprinting, it's not a good sign."
