That or we get a sick alt timeline where Republic vs. CIS is really like an extended Kaggath between Palpatine and Plageuis

Is there a way to get the Kings booth on league pass (through Amazon if it matters), or is there only stadium audio available?

HAPPY YANKEE ELIMINATION DAY TO ALL WHO CELEBRATE

It's just such a tawdry thing I guess. How empty do you have to be to go to bat for Stephen Miller and friends?

Many people are saying this

Though on this point, I guess I still am baffled as to why this is the case for anything but ownership (and even then?)

I mean, there is also this yeah

The fact that the press only has object permanence for the title of the people they report on, and not their words or deeds, is I think a real root of why America's mainstream press has so badly failed to meet the moment.

If you are unable, as our political press is philosophically committed to being, to assess claims except on their form, you leave yourself endlessly open to being manipulated by frivolous claims

I guess I should also add that a key difference between the Trump investigation and the Comey indictment is that *Trump did something obviously and significantly wrong*. Like, if you can't grok that distinction as important, I don't know what to say.

I think it makes total sense? He's exactly the kind of person that gets thrown under the bus once he's no longer actively useful. The Empire is not gonna care about defending his honor, and if keeps Naboo happy to blame things on this dumbass alien as opposed to the powers that be, why stop em?

Wurman is a hack. Hacks gonna hack. You can’t take that too personally. I do, however, take personally the professors who lectured us that we have to treat him as a good-faith actor.
maxkennerly.bsky.social
Wurman has a very principled position: courts have no power to stop the President doing things he likes, but plenary power to stop the President doing things he doesn't like.

Hence courts having the power to enjoin all student debt relief, even in cases where no one with standing brought suit.

This isn’t how judicial power works. Courts can’t “enjoin” or “restrain” the President from deploying the national guard. If a private party is injured by a guardsman, that party can bring a lawsuit. The legality and constitutionality of the action will be adjudicated. And compensation will be ordered if appropriate. A single district judge, however, doesn’t get to play commander in chief. Folks on this site are failing to appreciate the difference between a court setting aside unlawful executive actions, and civilly or criminally prosecuting a President in his personal capacity for attempting such actions. Which seems to be the point of immunity. 1/2

The question is which unlawful acts (seizing the steel mills, forgiving student loans) are nevertheless official acts subject to presumptive immunity. That’s the relevant inquiry when we’re outside the core/preclusive powers that get absolute immunity. 2/2
