Hello, new followers!

I'm Joe. I'm a mechanical designer for Disney and an aspiring author.

The book series I'm working on is called "Age of Uprising."

In my spare time I'm a singer/songwriter/guitarist.

In my past life I pursued the visual arts, sculpting, costuming, etc.

Arcades in the 80s were the best. I can't even explain to you how, when you'd walk into one you hadn't been to, and you'd survey the machines they had, it would be like seeing your nemeses in a new place.

I love the frogs, unicorns, and all the other animals on the streets of Portland and Chicago. But I hope some talented people out there are furiously sewing big caricature costumes of ICE Barbie, Nosferatu Goebbels, and 50K Cava bag Homan. Take it right to them. Overwhelm them with their own images.

Your story is inspirational too. Thanks! I've come to realize I was always writing "in my head". It's the way I communicate. If I know I'm gonna talk to someone, I usually have a few bullets in the chamber. I'm just bummed I didn't realize this earlier.

I admire writers who are adept at crafting purple prose. But, for my own work, I just can't do it. I prefer gruff, kick you in the dick-style prose. Profanity, matter-of-factness, biting dialogue, and realistic descriptions are much more my bag. 😎
