Saw someone say, “Stop hoarding books, we don’t need paper books anyway” and I can’t express how misguided this is. Online libraries disappear, digital books can be altered, and with Big Tech seeking to destroy history and literacy, print media has never been more essential.

Artwork for Adqualucia 3; Cantata of Bells, which shows second narrator Haydée in the center, as this is "her book". Narumi and Aoi are by her side of course and seen on the right side of the artwork. Her father Ri-Il on the left, smiling as if he knows everything and Lycram. Everyone in the lower part of the artwork are looking ready for battle; Ri-Il is the only one smiling... I wonder why? Up above we see Kasra with the Grimoire of Blood in his hand and Asteri in the middle. He clings his arms around him, naked, showing the jewels in his back. Then we have four blue "windows"; left, in the biggest window we see Hizashiere and his brother Reitzel. Hizashiere is holding a certain bell... and looks very friendly *ehem*. Next window shows Fairii and Lunari. Fairii worried, Lunari looking in another direction as if the fight that is going on has no concern for her. On the right side we see Aimeer (her first cover artwork!) and Nocturn, who smiles with red cheeks and reaches out his hand.... he looks at Asteri. Its a direct scene from the book. Well... there is a lot going on on this artwork, that is pumped with symbolics and hints. This artwork took me a long, long time. I wanted to add as much of my norway-love as I could. Brocken-Nell is seen in the background, which is based on real life Bergen and the red border is also no surprise. Its based on on the bridge of Trondheim. Ri-Ils and Haydées scarfs... The artwork is also colored with many different media. Mainly water colors, but Ive added everything I had in my arsenal, from Polychromos, to Copic Markers, to shellac. I wanted the artwork to be colorful, but cold on the same time.

In the Name of the Mermaid Princess was surprisingly on tone and always true to its theme. Not your average cute story, but with a lot of serious undertones. I was really surprised about the last panels... The ship wasn't the main focus at all. Very good Manga!
