Hi, I'm Ajali and here are the Orruks (+ some Tzeentch) I painted since I started in 2021. I played Big Waaagh for all of 3rd edition and am currently trying to get the IJ Index to click for me 😅
I'm also currently on a 42 day #HobbyStreak, working towards the Racoon Rumble

#HobbyStreak day 60:
Started to get into specific decisions for the Raccoon Rumble next month. Beginning with basic battleplan strategy and their impact on flex slots.
Screenshot from my Strategy Google Doc showing the 6 battleplans for next months Racoon Rumble and the associated objective count.

I can see that working. They don't really lose anything from not being in Ironjawz.

I like the Tuskboss+Gouger duo on one of the flanks as a mostly independant hammer. They do tend to whiff though..

#HobbyStreak day 59:
Played a game against one of my favourite opponents. He played SBGL for the first time, training for the Raccoon
Win for me, with a big error losing Vordrai Turn 2, and a great power through + mighty destroyer with a Goregrunta tagging the blood knights after
#WarhammerCommunity
Both Big Pigs get into Vordrai on the left flank, with a bit of Goregrunta support. The Gouger even got to apply strike last.
With all that output, Vordrai falls to both pigs on full momentum. The right flank start of the next turn. Top left the butt of one pig is visible, just tagging the blood knights, saving the mawkrusha stuck in combat with barrow knights and brutes still guarding the rear. After the heroic sacrifice of the Goregruntas the Brutes arrive fully buffed into the Blood Knights, that are still standing on the SBGLs home objective.
Ultimately only getting three of the knights with 10 Brutes on +1 Attack, +1 to Hit and Crit Mortals, but tagging them most likely for the rest of the game. Screenshot from Tabletop Battles Game result:
Benni (Ironjawz) 74 - 27 Wippo (Soulblight)

#HobbyStreak day 58:
A bit of a hobby slump, started a bit on the bust but not feeling it. Instead I dug out some Endless Spells and continued working on the Quicksilver Swords, getting the metal down.

#HobbyStreak day 57:
Looked for a new project and found a unit of Goregruntas I bought built a while ago.
Got them off their bases, cleaned up some mold lines, cut off greeblies and dug into the Bitz Box to find a few more interesting weapons for them.
#WarhammerCommunity
Three Orruk Goregruntas for Warhammer Age of Sigmar now with different weapons originally from the Brute Ragers Kit.

#HobbyStreak day 56:
One last pass checking and fixing a few errors. Then varnished the terrain, so I can bring it to the Club for a first game on Thursday.
This was a really fun and different project, and I’m happy I could help our club move closer to running tournaments again.

The finished set of 3d printed terrain pieces for a desert/mushroom themed table for warhammer age of sigmar. The big centerpiece of a Hot on top of a sandstone pillar.

#HobbyStreak day 55:
Cleaned Up some of the over drybrushing on the terrain and cleaned up my hobby desk for the next project.

#HobbyStreak day 54:
Getting the crystals popping a bit more.
#WarhammerCommunity
The 3d printed Sandstone pillar with the crystals now highlighted a bit more.

In the end I'm a bit disappointed with my performance, but picked up a few more thoughts about the list. Both losses were definitely winnable, so I just need to get better. 😅
Would not recommend running a tournament with 3:30 rounds though, since it took 12 Hours+ in total, getting home at ~23:30.

Game 3 - Surge of Slaughter:
A lot of thikk Ogors. Went in Top of 2, getting quite a few of the Ogors down, but not destroying enough to limit them and get out of combat. And leaving enough for big countercharges
The Ogor Gorgers scored the ~20pts difference just by deepstriking onto my objective
Screenshot of the Tabletop Battles Game Report:
42-62 Loss against Aaron on Ogor Mawtrubes. A view down the engagement line of the battle. From bottom to top: Ogors uncontested, 6 buffed ragers charge into the side of ogors, Brutes charge into some other Ogors. Gordrakk takes on the Ironblaster and the Wizard, Big Pigs charge into some other Ogors. A view from later in the game. The Big Pigs are stuck in combat with Gluttons, Brutes are stuck in combat with Leadbelchers and a Goregrunta is stuck with the Slaughtermaster, not quite reaching the ogors home objective.

Game 2 - Bountiful Equinox:
Ionus, Reclusians, Prosecutors, Vigilors (no screens). I gave him first turn, in which he pushed Ionus forward and gave me range to bind the Vigilors in combat.
Could pretty easily go in and deal with most of the units not in deapstrike T1, consolidated by a double 1-2.
Screenshot of the Tabletop Battles Game Report:
80-31 Win against Misha on Stormcast Eternals Ionus Cryptborn regretting his lifechoices being swarmed by a Tuskboss, Ragers and a fully buffed Unit of Brutes. Top Down View of the Game after my Turn 1. The Reclusians are bound in combat with the Tuskboss, the Brutes and Ragers stand on the central Objective after destroying Ionus. Pigs on the objective on the top right are ready to Mighty Destroyers into the Vigilors and Bastian, binding nearly all of the units on the board.

Game 1 - Roiling Roots:
A wide spread of different ghosts. I didn't see how badly the terrain was set up until it was too late
Could not really engage the core of the army in the center and the NH terrain could create more chokepoints. Barely outscored with their mobility and some early swingy rolls
Screenshot of the Tabletop Battles Game Report:
62-67 Loss against Markus
Hinging on him completing just one Battletactic more than me. My Mawgrunta Gouger after failing the 4'' charge with the reroll and afterwards dying from the pyregheist shooting and combat in their next turn. A Top Down Look showing the Nighthaunt Army core just sitting behind terrain and small chokepoints. A big Redeploy on the left denied Gordrakk the charge into relative safety. Near the end of the game the Tuskboss swung around the right side and the Brutes and Ragers through the middle, finally reaching the core of the Nighthaunt army.

#HobbyStreak day 53:
Small RTT in a really nice tabletop store. A ~50/50 split of locals who normally don't go to tournaments and tourn gamers.
Really liked my switch to Zoggrok over a MB and the general core of my list.
Also got the random raffle and got myself some more Brutes

#HobbyStreak day 51:
Turquoise contrast on the crystals and some other details. Tomorrow is cleaning up and maybe a bit of drybrushing on the crystals.
Also some list braingstorming for the RTT on saturday.
#WarhammerCommunity
A 3d printed terrain piece for Warhammer Age of Sigmar. It consists of a sandstone pillar with turquoise crystals topped by a rickedy wooden shack with some metal chimneys. A Excel Worksheet with 4 rough lists, working out points for Ironjawz with the Battlescroll changes, iterating on my last list.

#HobbyStreak day 50:
Had more time today, so I sat down to get the metallics and rest of the wood done plus the crystalls drybrushed white (may just leave them without airbrushing over the top?)
Also did an assortment of other smaller things, like rocks at the bases of mushrooms
#WarhammerCommunity
Parts of the 3D printed terrain I am currently painting for Warhammer Age of Sigmar.
Showing off mostly the progress on the sandstone pillar with the wood done, crystalls now glowing white and some other details.
In front are the roofs of the huts showing the stippled metal and a mushroom showing the rocks at the base.

#HobbyStreak day 49:
Back in action with the wood platforms on the pillar.
#WarhammerCommunity
A sandstone pillar terrain pice for age of sigmar. The wooden platforms are coated in a dark wood contrastlike color.

#HobbyStreak day 48:
Some more drybrushing on the stems. Pretty much done with these pieces now, save for maybe the pustules and rocks at the bottom.
Worked around with some lists after the Battlescroll Dropped today.
(Pausing the streak a few days, as I'm visiting family)
#WarhammerCommunity
Four big and four little 3d printed mushroom trees for use as terrain in age of sigmar. They are now mostly done. Screenshot from todays Battle Scroll Update:
A lot of green for the Ironjawz.
ajali.bsky.social
#HobbyStreak day 47:
A lot of drybrushing on the terrain: A final light yellow one on the umbonate mushrooms, a few layers of brightening on the funnel mushrooms and a heavy drybrush on the sandstone pillar.
Also looked up what all these different mushroom caps are called ;)
#WarhammerCommunity
Parts of the 3d printed mushroom terrain for a table of Age of Sigmar.
The convex Mushrooms have a flashy yellow color, the funnel mushrooms a more muted earthy tone, witth a sandstone pillar (missing wood color) in the middle, that will carry a hut when finished.

#HobbyStreak day 46:
Some heavy Drybrushing on the cap mushrooms. Working my way through this terrain, so I can get it to the club soon.
#WarhammerCommunity
Four mushroom tree terrain pieces for Age of Sigmar, the Trunks are dark brown and the kaps undercoated with an orangeish brown and heavily drybrushed with pale yellow mixed with a bit of orange.
In the middle there is the roof of a mushroom hut in a similar color.

#HobbyStreak day 45:
Big airbrushing session mostly for the terrain. Getting some sepia filters over the sandstone pillar, some colors on the mushroom caps and hut roof.
Primed the cyberpunky bust I 3d printed a while ago.
And varnished my Terrain and Mawgrunta for the Ironjawz.
#WarhammerCommunity
A lot of models on my hobby desk. There is close to a table of mushroom terrain with different colors airbrushed on, a 3d printed bust, and the models I recently finished for my Ironjawz.
Also a smol fox snuck in on the picture.
