Is it weird that I am still figuring out how cool that was at nearly 40? My parents love going to zoos, museums, planetariums, concerts - I guess I grew up thinking a lot of kids did that. They would know about stars and art history. Now I really wish everyone had that.

I grew up with the Sheboygan Astronomical Society. I could tell you from a very young age that M42 in Orion is "not a comet." 😅 There were members that built their own scopes, own garage observatory, and they recently secured a grant from the Green Bay Packers for their own inflatable planetarium.

Another option is getting dressed early while date is available and wearing a sweatshirt over the dress so you don't get food/toothpaste/makeup on it before event.

Have you tried a lanyard? Invisible zippers don't always have the right kind of pull on them, but if you can clip to it, you can get some leverage. I would 💯 help a stranger with a zipper.

I still have two flower pots to build before four new LEGO botanical collection sets release in January.

Finished build of LEGO pointsettia 10370. The red flowers, green leaves, and woven basket are all plastic bricks.

I walked over to the dam just about golden hour and was enchanted by the glittering of the sun in the churning water. My phone was not capturing the sparkles properly, so I ended up with several angles.

Not pictured; the beautiful glittery effect similar to fresh fallen snow in the bubbles under the dam.

The water looks incredible in this light, but my phone makes it look like freezer burned ice cream.

I finally went and stood over the dam, taking pictures towards the fading sunlight. Without context, these could be ocean waves at the edge of the harbor. Context; mill pond on the edge of downtown.

$Finally I could see the glitter in the picture I took. The colors refracting off the splashes and bubbles come close to inspiring the awe I felt. If you squint it could be a glacier or clouds outside an airplane. Pretty!$
