Last night @ajolipa.bsky.social and I crested the hill and got Elo 2.0 available to the public! Check out the work we've been doing at www.mtgeloproject.net. Read the most recent blog post, search for yourself and check for data errors, and enjoy some of the new features. ^_^

Yay: Baltimore appeared and that data is all ready to go
Boo: Still waiting on Melbourne
Friday routine: spamming F5 on the magic.gg event archive page, waiting for final standings from last weekend's events to appear. (All set to finish SS Baltimore and RC Melbourne as soon as I have real names to work with!)
Oh nooo I must have copied the 2024 row to make the 2025 entry and didn't update the date ;_; I'll fix it tomorrow morning!
Here's the leaderboards had this existed in 2023 (when @yellowhat.bsky.social led the way at 17-6-1) and 2024 (when @simonnielsenmtg.bsky.social put up a 20-4!). Top 16 was a clean cut at 42MP in 2023, but the 45s went down to 18th place in 2024. Both years 1+ person was top 16 without all 8 drafts.
I count myself as among the winners of this Standard format... probably won't have to budget too much time to get the GP curated next weekend.
I set myself a line for spotlight Baltimore, if there were fewer than 300 players on Monday at noon I would sign up. There are 160 players (now 161) enrolled in the event 🤣
Thank you so much! Very possible this is the last time they displayed it. Also haven't checked Melee in the last few days, but the single-elim games weren't there Monday [fist shake]
Insane work week means I haven't started work on EW curating yet, but I will be curating them. Can someone do the legwork of finding me a completed version of this bracket? Did they ever put it up on stream or something? Sometimes I get post-SF bracket from stream + watch finals for its game score.
Congrats to our 2025 NA Legacy Champs Top 8!

Another day in the life of a Magic data scraper... (alt text for clarity)
• Most cuts made, all-time:
63 Raphael Levy (in 90 PTs with cuts)
55 @yellowhat.bsky.social (out of 78)
53 Shuhei Nakamura (out of 69)
52 Jon Finkel (out of 76)
51 Shota Yasooka (out of 63)
• Pour one out for Riku Kumagai who made the cut at PTFIN and was 19/19 lifetime, but did not make it to day two of PTEOE.

RIku's streak of 19 to start his career is the longest ever, two more than Sebastian Pozzo's 17. It's on to @stefanschuetzmtg.bsky.social (11/11) to catch him now.
@smdster.bsky.social has the longest streak of cuts made at consecutive events: 16 PTs, everything from PT Dominaria in 2018 to the present.

As such, Sam is one of 9 players to have made all nine cuts since the pandemic. The full list is pictured.
Here's some highlights:
• Lee Shi Tian and Paul Rietzl haven't missed a cut in forever. They both have active streaks of 28 consecutive cuts made at PTs attended. The rest of humanity has never gone past 22.
This sheet started as something that just tracked streaks, but I expanded it to look at all things cut-related, including a separate tab focused on post-pandemic events.

The data sheet is here: docs.google.com/spreadsheets...
I owe you some PTEOE stats (they're coming, I promise!), but until then, here's a new Elo project blog post. This week I overhauled my sheet that tracks cuts made at PTs, so there's a lot of new numbers to look at! mtgeloproject.net/blog/60/

Got the sheet made but at this time of night I'm not going to have the stamina to put all the other numbers together. But, here, sneak preview -- docs.google.com/spreadsheets...
Pro Tour Day 2 data

Yep -- planning to include this with a stats thread, hopefully I can get it all together for tomorrow. Stay tuned! ^_^
ggs Ben! Very similar here, about two hours of work after this to finish a couple mementos. Glad Hades 2 gave me an excuse to stop because I was already starting to think about the 100%-in-30-hours achievement.
Only like a month late, but SS Orlando and MXP Phoenix are now on www.mtgeloproject.net. Had to get caught up before the PT this weekend! I'm not holding my breath that the open PTQs will have usable data but maybe I'll somehow jinx myself into a lot of extra curating work next week...

I like the implication that it'd be a common. ^_^;
Celeste is just the fucking best.
This is a mod, Monika's D-Sides. It's a really nice set of maps, and basically everything in it comes from the base game. So it's just like what if the difficulty went up to 13 or 14.
I'm sure people have figured out how to sideload it onto Switch, but I'm playing this on Steam. I'm using Everest to add the mods to my Steam copy. I do play with the Switch Pro SNES controller, which Steam understands if I connect it to my PC with Bluetooth. I think you can make joy-cons work too.
I almost tagged you Ben =p Did you ever play Monika's D-sides? This is the last screen of 7D 1000m. I enjoyed 1D-6D even more this time than my first playthrough a couple years ago.
