After watching latest 60 Minutes I’m shocked- was a complete crap-fest. 1st: Trumpist propaganda to beat the war drums, no fact checking or anything. 2nd: a trashy grifter infomercial from the gutters of the web. 3rd: even worse- a scam artist puff piece. How low & fast they’ve fallen. Sad

I think losing Randy Rodriguez was huge. With him (assuming he continued to be a decent closer) the Giants would have still had a decent bullpen, which would have helped a lot.

Apparently they still suck. That recent hot spell that got them tied for a playoff spot was just a tease. Even sucky teams occasionally get hot.
A lot of their pitchers are minor leaguers. RN only 2 good starters (Webb & Verlander LOL) & a very shaky bullpen.

1. Almost all of the Gs hitters are having poor seasons (except
Smith & Schmitt). How is that possible? I can see a couple guys having poor seasons - common, right? But almost the entire team?? (My thought: poor hitting coaching).

I can’t help wondering how much of the #SFGiants offensive woes are due to poor hitting coaching. Every single one of the Giants hitters has been disappointing. I can see some players having a slump some of the time, but not the entire team having a prolonged slump lasting months. Hmmm.

Still raw, doesn’t have good b-ball IQ (doesn’t mesh well w/ sophisticated offense), doesn’t rebound, doesn’t always play hard on defense, doesn’t shoot well. Big enough to be a PF but doesn’t want to.
Has superior driving skills (but too many TOs) - a good scorer.
Needs more time

Don't look now but the Giants have the best slugging % in the majors (right now). They're in the top 10 in most other team batting stats. Wow.

I’m not sold yet. Don’t have confidence in Verlander or Hicks (someone posted his poor nbrs the 3rd time thru lineup) & Giants’ success has been built on consistent pitching, which has taken pressure off the hitters. But they have Birdsong & Harrison waiting, they’re close.

Why do so many teams shoot the lights out from 3 against the Warriors? Seems like the Warriors strategy is to leave 3 pt shooters wide open &/or not be aware who the good 3 pt shooters are. 😡
