Yesterday we attended the International Translation Day event hosted by @englishpen.bsky.social! The Translation (Against) AI panel discussion was a fascinating conversation exploring the ethics of artificial intelligence use for literary translation and the importance of protecting copyright 📖

Just received a Statement of Book Royalties with money attached...after regained consciousness -- thankfully in my living room at home, I now have enough money to buy a round of pints for 4 people at a London pub, and a cheap bag of crisps

🇩🇪 I've just received my latest statement from ALCS, which tells me that DAS SCHÖNSTE GESCHENK DER WELT, the German edition of THE BEST GIFT OF ALL, was my most borrowed book from German libraries in the first half of this year.
