Angela Lansbury.
This is a Bill Simmons game, but you’re stranded on a desert island. You can only have one actor’s filmography. You get it all, including cameos. But just the one performer.

I’m taking Cate Blanchett: Talented Mr. Ripley, LOTR, Life Aquatic, Black Bag, Tár, Ponyo, Hot Fuzz, Eyes Wide Shut, Thor

Singing a set of Welsh and English Christmas songs at mid day at the Maesteg Town Hall atrium tomorrow if you're around and festively inclined 🎵

Civic duty to tip these over whenever you find one.
Just as you thought food delivery companies couldn't inflict any more misery on society:

Instead of using lowly-paid gig economy contractors to deliver groceries, they're replacing humans with robots, who, in turn, force humans off the pavement into road traffic.

Date for your diaries:
I'm putting together an Evening of Songs and Sketches with Maesteg Musical Theatre Society (formed 1943) and Llynfi Valley Dramatic Society (formed 1981) 26 March at Maesteg Town Hall to celebrate the town's bicentenary (formed 1826!), would be lovely to have a good crowd.

But then, you have 'Marx' as part of your handle, so I'm going to go right ahead and make the solid assumption that you're a halfwit

When you see "14 years of x" line, it tells you you're dealing with someone who can't analyse politics without a party lens.

Britain's been governed by the same overarching philosophy since 1979, regardless of which party was in power. And without understanding that, you won't understand anything.
How should Labour tackle 14 years of mismanagement? I'd like to hear some realistic alternatives, considering the available resources in law professionals, university places and tutors and physical spaces. All I've read so far here is 'throw money at it' without considering the resource implications

Best understood, Labour's attack on juries, as a further lurch towards authoritarianism. Who, now, will stand in the way of a State that wants to imprison its opponents?

This is unconscionable. We should all be makimg more of a fuss about this, it puts every one of us at the mercy of these evil bastards.
So the actual bar being discussed for juryless trials seems to be anything where the sentence is less than 5 years.

Anything less than 5 years would not require a jury and could be decided by a judge in a closed room.

Worth noting that 3 years is the top number for activists generally...

Greiddiol, dirdynnol, nerthol. Am ffilm unigryw, pwerus. Penigamp.

Like the Welsh-speaking love child of Tim Burton and Verdi. There will never be anything like this. How brilliant to have this on your doorstep in a small mostly English speaking town in the valleys.
Off to see Tanau'r Lloer at Maesteg Town Hall tonight, the only Welsh language feature length film being released this year. It's a black and white opera based on my favourite novel Un Nos Ola Leuad, so honestly feels like it was made just for me 🌕
