I totally agree with you. It is important to make sure the students feel important and involved in the classrooms it makes them more engaged. Having a good relationship with them makes them feel like they can trust you. #TeacherEd #SafeSchools
I think that’s great to ask other teachers if they have been noticing any problems or patterns. It can help yall work as a team and come up with solutions. I will do that next year #TeacherEd #SafeSchools
Yeah I can relate to you. If there was any concern with bullying admin was involved and they helped #TeacherEd #SafeSchools
I totally agree with you. It’s hard getting through a lesson sometimes because they mess with each other on the carpet. So i constantly have to stop and talk to them #TeacherEd #SafeSchools
I really love that idea about role playing to help build their confidence to speak up. I feel like some kids might be afraid to speak up #TeacherEd #SafeSchools
I think it’s important to always keep reminding them of the consequences of what can happened in an unsafe environment #TeacherEd #SafeSchools
I totally agree with you how it’s important to practice these skills #TeacherEd #SafeSchools
I think a way we can apply this by reading books to students about bullying and SEL so they can see how one might feel when being bullied. #TeacherEd #SafeSchools
A5: To talk to parents I use talking points to message them or send class reminders through it. It is really helpful communicating with parents.
A4: some challenges may be that it’s difficult to track or see what every student is doing. Some students may get off task and go on a different website.
A3: I collaborate with my colleagues on google classrooms, emails, and we share lesson plans on google drive. All of this helps us plan better and help our students more.
A2: Some barriers is that some of my students don’t have technology at home so they might not know how to use some tools so I give them a demo. Sometimes it’s hard to control what websites they are using so I have to use Hapara to see their screens.
A5: some technology that I use is google classroom. I have them complete work in the slides. I let them use different websites for research. They use epic books to read. They also take quizzes on google classroom. I like to use bouncyballs to keep them quiet.
A5: For feedback I always make sure i point out their strengths. I tell them what they did good and then I tell them one thing they can improve on to allow for a better grade. It’s important to provide positive feedback. #TeacherEd #GrowthMindset
A4: For assessment I go over what’s going to be on the test for a couple days. I make expectations clear. I give points for effort, for each step and I allow them to revise with me one on one. I don’t want them to feel discouraged. #TeacherEd #GrowthMindset
A3: I always allow for positive reinforcement, feedback to help them improve, and let them know it’s okay to make mistakes, we has mistakes to learn more. Always praise them for their effort. #TeacherEd #GrowthMindset
A2: I always differentiate instructions for certain students. I make sure everyone participates by pulling sticks so they all get a turn to share. I share my experiences on how I didn’t know how to do something but I didn’t give up! They might not know English yet but soon #TeacherEd #GrowthMindset
A1: I tell my students everyday, this might be challenging now or we don’t know it yet but if we keep practicing and working we will be able to move past these challenges and do better. #TeacherEd #GrowthMindset

A5- Creating small groups and safe learning environments. Make them aware of their resources, give them manipulative for reading, math, etc. Have a routine in the class. #TeacherEd #SpEd
A4- I tell my students they need to tell me when they need help or tell an adult who is in the room with them. We practice emotional learning strategies and read books about our feelings. In their writing they practice how to talk about their feelings and how to ask for help. #TeacherEd #SpEd
A3 2 grade bilingual, i differentiate assignments, depending on the levels in class. I provide everything in spanish/english. I highlight the important information and I sit with the students in small groups to help them. I use sticks with their numbers to call students to the board #TeacherEd #SpEd
I agree chunking the assignments is super helpful for them. #TeacherEd #SpEd
A2- Resources that I have for my students are that in my class I have two wobble chairs. That helps them get their energy out sometimes. We allow them to play with a fidget toy while on the carpet so they don’t distract their peers. We have the same routine in our class everyday. #TeacherEd #SpEd
A1- Sometimes it’s challenging when we do not have the resources for the students to help them. Most material is outdated or doesn’t work, so we have to buy our own things. #TeacherEd #SpEd
