The most promising sign of tonight's game was how much Ottawa dominated Tampa Bay at 5-on-5.

68% expected goals, outscored Tampa 3-1.

If Ottawa is good at five-on-five, they could be an Elite team.

struggling with the aspect of the game that Spence was brought into help with! when the team has said publicly that the pre-season is only one aspect of their evaluation process, I’d love to hear the reasoning as to why he was scratched against a highly-skilled team like Tampa Bay.
