When people ask me what I think about using AI in writing I’m going to send them this screenshot

SIMON: What?
SHAPIRO: ...Or saying...
SIMON: You imagine that?
SHAPIRO: ...Boy, if that had existed, it would have screwed me over.
SIMON: I don't think Al can remotely challenge what writers do at a fundamentally creative level.
SHAPIRO: But if you're trying to transition from scene five to scene six, and you're stuck with that transition, you could imagine plugging that portion of the script into an Al and say, give me 10 ideas for how to transition this.
SIMON: I'd rather put a gun in my mouth.

Never understood why Americans do not want scene numbers in the script unless it’s a shooting script.

In Europe, you put them in there from the 1st draft, so execs and producers can tag their feedback with the number of the scene they refer to.

Makes feedback calls much easier.

When I've talked about existing properties I would love to work with, I've tended to mention the big or medium ones. But there are some smaller ones, too.

I'd really love the chance to pitch my script idea for a movie adaptation of Carrion (the video game released in 2020).
