Attention AlexRenew customers: Our administrative office will be closed on Monday, September 1st in observation of Labor Day. Our online portal and customer service team can assist you with any questions or concerns about your account.
Monitoring water quality in our lab is an important step to ensure our treated effluent meets treatment standards before being released back into the Potomac.
When it's operational in 2026, it will significantly reduce combined sewage overflows in Alexandria’s waterways — protecting our environment and community! 💧🌿

We toured the superstructure site for a construction update. This new facility connects the Waterfront Tunnel to AlexRenew's facility. It also houses the coarse screen and pump station designed to accept combined sewage from the Waterfront Tunnel and begin the treatment process.
We're equally grateful to our community for your trust, patience, and support throughout the project. Together, we've built something that will serve our city for future generations.

Starting July 1, 2025, wastewater rates are changing. As part of our newly adopted budget, rates will increase by 5.0% this year and by 5.7% on July 1, 2026. These adjustments support continued investment in critical infrastructure that protects our community and the environment.
