How you feel about Captain Ake’s posture makes a strong statement about how socially well adjusted you are. Those who live in the real world with actual people know it doesn’t fucking matter how you sit in a chair; it matters how you lead, how you teach, and how you lift people up. #StarfleetAcademy

You know the problem with modern #StarTrek? Old Star Trek would NEVER have thought to show one of its characters show a serious character flaw because of something as silly as a sports game and use that to show growth and have to learn to be a better person. SMH.

#StarTrek would NEVER show its officers engaging in unbecoming trash talking 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 So unprofessional. 🙄

Should have made one of those #StarTrek movies they keep talking about.
Paramount received zero Oscar nominations

It's the only major studio not to receive any

• Warner Bros had 30
• Netflix had 16

I remember when certain people lost their minds over this Enterprise promo because it used a modern song and had a sexy butterfly lady. Enterprise may or may not be your fav, but the idea that it’s “not real Star Trek” is LAUGHABLE. Same with SFA! #StarTrek #StarfleetAcademy youtu.be/5yxGAtiG224?...

My favorite reaction to this are the people who are like “I’m getting serious YA vibes from this” - wow really what could possibly have given you that idea? Your perceptions are so refined!! (This is rad by the way. Love that the show is picking a unique vibe for Star Trek) #StarTrekStarfleetAcademy

Look I hate to say this, but this project raised a LOT more money than the DS9 documentary and made BIG promises. And after 5 years it’s delivered a movie that’s not to the same standard as the DS9 documentary with a lot of farce and delays. Very disappointing.

The announcement today of a new #Stargate show that lives in the same world as previous TV shows is a dream come true and one I genuinely thought was impossible as we’ve started moving out of the Peak TV era. I cannot wait to see what’s coming.

$250 opening bid for this screen used Voyager combadge that looks *suspiciously* like the base of Kira Nerys Playmates action figure (the little peg is for the hole on the figure’s foot so it stays standing up.) Sign me up! #StarTrek

It's got two studs on the back of each nacelle which would let you add one of those flat smooth pieces to make your very own USS Venture variant Galaxy class.

Oh, just me who's interested in that? #StarTrek

I really enjoyed the #StarTrek Khan audio drama, but it never quite escapes the prequel curse. And while I adored Naveen Andrews’s Khan performance, I’m uncomfortable with what it means about rehabilitating a true tyrant. My review:

It’s super clearly established to be Pike’s kitchen and his place of comfort (just as it is on the ship), Batel is referred to as “admiral” meaning she maintained an active career, and you’re just seeing glimpses of the full life they live together not the whole thing.

As the crescendo of “what a travesty this is” reactions begins to grow, I will just point out that this show is for literal babies so yes it’s supposed to look very stupid to you (and to me). As does every show made for, again, actual babies. Go outside and touch grass. #StarTrek

#StarTrekStrangeNewWorlds hits a new ratings high for modern #StarTrek since Nielsen started tracking streaming for the week of “Shuttle to Kenfori” by slightly besting the prior week’s double bill. Probably lots of people spacing out those first two, but still hugely encouraging.

#FantasticFour  is a #StarTrek movie and I LOVED it. The character dynamics sizzle, there’s a lot more outer space than the trailers have shown, the midcentury modern production design and most importantly the hope and optimism for a better future. Shakman did make his Star Trek, just for Marvel.
