Maybe @tcrgbath.bsky.social could share data supporting their claim “children now using vapes at higher rates than adults”. If they can’t provide data, then should withdraw their bollocks claim @profglantz.com @michaelrbloomberg.bsky.social
@gfn.events @aliveadvocacy.bsky.social
Their claim on rates is wrong in the USA. And they ignore the fact that there are far more adults than teens in every country on Earth.

Good reason why @tcrgbath.bsky.social doesn’t cite data to support its claim. Because its claim is wrong. #Vapes are world’s most popular & most effective quit smoking aid #Bloomberg @chancethegardener.bsky.social @jgitchell.bsky.social
Evidence shows that children are now using e-cigarettes at higher rates than adults, a consequence of targeted marketing by the nicotine industry.

Under the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child #UNCRC, children and young people have the right to health.

President Bone Spurs doesn’t want war in Ukraine to end soon. What he wants is for Russia to get whatever they want ASAP.

Russia is a military target rich environment. And #Ukraine is hitting these targets every day. However Russia seems to mainly aim at civilian targets in Ukraine @timothysnyder.bsky.social @anneapplebaum.bsky.social
Confirmed by Ukraine’s General Staff: the rare Russian A-60 airborne laser aircraft was likely destroyed in a strike on the Beriev plant in Taganrog. Also hit: drone factory “Molniya,” oil terminals in Novorossiysk, Tuapse refinery, and an S-400 launcher.

Last night @davidpocock.bsky.social and I read onto the Hansard an interview by the President of Nauru that the Albanese Government has been desperately trying to keep secret.

It shows Nauru plans to send refugees to places they fled. No wonder the secrecy.

It’s been disappointing Norman Swan so opposed to vaping as he fully understands arguments made against drug prohibition. Australia’s vape policy has been & is neo prohibition. Fancy creating major new illicit drug by policy in 21st C! Then whole health establishment cheers! @crikey.com.au
Norman swan is firmly in the anti vaping camp. He would have a huge influence on ABC selection of who to interview on Health matters

Severity of nicotine dependence very much influenced by how it’s taken. MAOIs in tobacco accelerate nicotine metabolism which is another reason why more severe nicotine dependence with smoking
It may interest you - the other week I had to fast for a blood test (no caffeine, nicotine, only water). Mixed up a bottle of 0 nic liquid. Was (very) surprised that I had no withdrawals after 22 hours without nic. I am usually on 10mg (neither high or low).

Fear mongering or personal smearing? They’re the options for tobacco control when they don’t have any real arguments to defend their position & they’re being questioned.
After all these years (and even after they got their way) they're still pumping out the same fearmongering. Was once used to raise public support for desired prohibition policy, now used to cover-up/distract from same failed policy.

Many of 94 seats won by ALP 2025 were thanks to President Bone Spurs. If DJT implodes in next 3 years - & he’s going in that direction now - then ALP will lose lots of seats at next election. So time to spend some political capital.
