Whissendine is regularly one of our worst-affected villages by flooding, that’s why my team met with the Landlady of the White Horse Inn and residents to discuss what additional support and mitigation works are needed up and down the stream to further protect the village from devastating floods.

Last week I wrote to the Leader of Lincolnshire County Council asking him to reverse the decision to exclude Stamford from planned consultation events on Local Govt Re-Organisation.
I am relieved the Leader has listened to my concerns, and as a result an event will now be held on 24th September.

After working with the team and supporting their bid for Community Ownership Funding by raising it with the Government, I was delighted the Association was successfully awarded £231,000 at the end of 2023.
