I don't know about you but I love the word #free and I also love #books so like I'm just out here giving the world what I want.
This #FreeBook is available on WattPad & Archive of Our Own, okay, and it's a long one. 134K and counting cause there's three chapters still waiting in the wings!
It's called "lorraine" and it's a no bars held #historicalfiction#fantasy that I have been writing over the last 18 months and will be *finished* by the end of October!
This last addition to the #poetry collection for #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth 2025 is an extremely raw and unfiltered one about #verbalprocessing - something I really struggle with outwardly and inwardly, & I think other neurodivergent people will understand.
Whether you face #chronic#mentalillness or #temporary#mentalhealth struggles - something we are all working towards is #innerpeace and it can feel impossible sometimes. As I experience periods of that tranquility, this #poetry reflects how unfamiliar that can feel.
Moving right along a we close out #MentalHealthAwareness Month, we are now at the prompt for #misdiagnosed and my #poetry piece isn't about mental health misdiagnosis but the #scapegoat use of mental health diagnoses to avoid actual #healthcare efforts. It's happened to all of us.
As #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth comes to a close - I'm posting all of the #poetry for the remaining prompts - we are going out with a bang! This poem about #maladaptivedaydreaming may be short, but I think it captures the feeling of struggling between real and fake.
One of the biggest points of going to #therapy is learning #emotionalregulation skills that you can use in your daily life when #triggers cross your path. This particular #poetry piece is a bit more optimistic than most of what I've been writing for #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth bc I believe in it sm.
It is still #MentalHealthAwarnessMonth and that means I'm still writing poetry. There are lot of people who use the phrase "mental health journey" and while that is fine for those people, there's a flip side to it. So this #poetry explores the #unfiltered experience of #mentalillness and healing.
No matter who you are, where you are from, and how much you make - you will be touched by #grief because loss comes in many shapes. During #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth it would be negligible not to reflect on how loss follows us through life. It shows up and it never truly leaves us.
For years #bodypositivity has been a mainstay topic, whether discussing health or celebrities or fashion. #LoveYourself is a mantra and hashtag that people use when trying to show their self love and different body types.
#Education is made free and accessible to anyone with access to an internet connection. This is made possible by #goodpeople investing in Crash Course. The time has come in 2025 for the #CrashCourse Coin (an actual coin that you can physical hold, not a cryptocurrency or NFT item).
Perhaps I'm just old, or maybe this is a hot take, but #traumadumping has gone through a radical evolution linguistically and socially. The topic is far more nuanced than what I portray with this #poetry piece, so this one angle: frustration with the #weaponization and adjacency to #victimblaming -
A phrase you have probably seen around social media these last few years is #doompile and these things that build up around a home or space when #mentalhealth tanks so completely that you just can't - can't anything with it.
While everyone does experience #traumatic things, the severity and frequency of those traumas may lead to #pstd or even #cptsd diagnoses later in life. It is no joke to suffer with it, and this #poem that I wrote for #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth is my experience, my perspective, while living with it.
