Today I wrote about grief, about how no amount of meditation and mindfulness can keep you from having to look at the pain, and I shared a simple, but beloved biscuits and gravy recipe.

But this man — this proud, well-postured, gleaming man had laughed in my face and, literally, told me I was full of shit.”
A doctor laughed me out of the ER — I got my diagnosis two days later
Was I overreacting? Were the tears some kind of performance, like a child crying out for their parent? Two days later, though, I received a follow-up call.

I’m in contact with the family members of many of the men (some of them in the US, Colombia, and some in Venezuela) and they are very, very happy. I understand your concern, but this is a happy day for them. I’m saying this as a reporter who has spoken to them.

Francisco Casique worked as a barber in the US as he attended immigration hearings.

On Feb 6, ICE violently abducted him from his home. He thought he was being deported back to Venezuela. But he would never arrive.

I spoke with the parents of Venezuelan immigrants who Trump, in some cases, had violently abducted and later imprisoned in El Salvador’s CECOT.

They traveled to the UN to plead on behalf of their boys, with a challenge of their own coming from a dictator-led country.

In March, Trump rounded up over 250 men and flew them to a terrorism confinement center in El Salvador.

One of those men is 24YO Widmer Sanguino, who was previously granted refugee status in the US.
