Paradise Lost formed in Halifax, West Yorkshire in 1988 and are known for being the founders of the Gothic Death/Doom Metal genre; a style fully brought into existence with their genre-defining second album, the highly influential ‘Gothic’. Having released 2 albums, including ‘Gothic’, for the UK’s Peaceville Records and later helping to establish Peaceville as home to the finest trio of UK doom bands (alongside My Dying Bride and Anathema), Paradise Lost then signed with fellow UK label, Music For Nations which eventually led to the band breaking through to mainstream rock and metal audiences as their style evolved, becoming one of the UK’s most essential metal exports around the globe in the process.

Founded by multi-instrumentalists Nicolò and Federico Vese, Italian progressive metal duo Asymmetric Universe has carved out a distinct space in the modern instrumental scene with a sound that seamlessly blends the aggressive intensity of metal with the rich harmonies and improvisational spirit of jazz fusion. From the heart of London, FALL OF SATURN deliver colossal riffs, commanding vocals, and razor-sharp dynamics. Now, the UK heavyweights are back with their most immersive track yet. Sol Invicto have released "Initium ft. Zach Hill" - a 21-minute single that marks the starting point of a project that was never built to follow rules. Originally recorded in 2011 and shared only with the band’s private fan club community, this is the first time the track will be available publicly, in full, without edits or post-production polish. UK alt-metal juggernauts OUR NORTH continue their rise with their electrifying new EP, Everyone For Themselves, out on Friday 4th July (read our review HERE). Prepare to be swept into the storm: Finnish Progressive Metal band Royal Sorrow releases their fourth single ‘Samsara’ - a cinematic, yet catchy song that reflects over the big questions of life, death and the meaning of it all. Driven by dynamic vocals and thunderous metal riffs, ‘Samsara’ blends existential introspection with raw emotional power. Nearly two years after the release of PRONG's aggressive, eagerly awaited latest album, State of Emergency - an album Metal Injection described as "the strongest PRONG record to hit the streets in the recent past" and Blabbermouth called "a big, sonically pristine affair" - the New York City native metal icons and premier rock and metal label Napalm Records have officially joined forces, inking a worldwide record deal. Legendary punk pioneers The Damned have announced a special 50th anniversary show at OVO Arena Wembley on Friday 11th April 2026, marking five decades since the band first exploded onto the scene as one of the founders of British punk rock.
