Up too late playing the new Warlock in Diablo 2 Resurrected. This is a 26 year old game that was just rejuvenated a couple days ago by adding this amazing Warlock.
Also quality of life improvements like better resource mgmt in the stash. It's kind of incredible they're still updating an old game

I've never ever worked on my birthday. This year I took 3 days off; day before, day of, & day after.
It's common to quit celebrating after age 29 or so. But I've seen plenty of people not make it to their mid 50s, so I celebrate my birthday to the fullest. Grateful I've made it this far 😸

The other day I was telling one of my closest friends how no one uses Facebook anymore except old people. He says to me "I'm old!" He's 2 years younger than me.
I'll be 56 in a couple weeks. Age really is just a number. I don't perceive myself as old and refuse to be labeled as such

My precious cat Sheridan died today. In home euthanasia. I'm so lucky I had 16 1/2 years with her. Got her when I was 39 and I'll be 56 next month. She was my constant.

The 1980-81 school year was 5th grade for me. In 80 my teacher was telling us that "in the year 2000 we'll have flying cars, and communicate through electrodes in our heads."
I was a clueless 10 yr old who couldn't imagine 5 years ahead, much less 20, so I believed him. By 95 I knew he was wrong 🤣

In light of the illegal actions we took in Venezuela today I think other countries would be justified to start boycotting the US. No Olympics, FIFA, etc. I have a lot of anger to vent but I'll just continue quietly seething in my living room

Really looking forward to s2 of The Night Manager starring Tom Hiddleston. Starts on 1/11. It's been 10 years since s1 but I didn't find the show until 2025 so not a long wait for me. He's basically James Bond: attractive, charismatic, and smart. Should be a fun ride

This is a dumb reason but I'm glad it's 2026 simply because I prefer even numbered years. Idk if it's because I was born in a year that ends in zero or what. Have felt this way since I was a little kid

Treated myself to the Blu-ray Lost complete series. I watched as it aired in 2004, own the regular DVDs, and have seen every ep a million times. It's so nice having the improved clarity of Blu-ray. I deliberately haven't seen it in about 5 years so this is very enjoyable.

How come no one but me cuts their spaghetti with a knife? Any long pasta I have to cut into bite size pieces because I can't stand slurping a long string and making a mess.
Yeah I've seen people twirl it into a spoon first but still too messy. Don't get why people look at me weird when I cut it up
