Today is one week since treatment ended. I went through a double mastectomy and reconstruction, 12 rounds of chemo and 5 weeks of radiation. I thought I would feel elated when it was finished, but I don't. I just feel angry I had to go through it (again) to begin with

Yeah. One time I called my dad to hear his voicemail and some one answered and I realized it was gone. When I got a new phone I made sure the voicemails I had from them didn’t get lost even though I can’t listen to them without crying

Also fun fact about the witch book. All my witches are named after singers I love. So there's older sister Florence, twins Klara and Joanna (First Aid Kit), friend Ani (Difranco) and grandma Stevie (Nicks)

Due to grief and deadlines I was closed to blurbs for awhile but that's not the case anymore and I can say honestly, it is such a honor to be asked to blurb someone's book. There are alot of things wrong with the writing community but this isn't one of them
