I’ll never understand how universities that know all too well that researchers move around, especially when hired on short-term fixed contracts, ever expect them (me) to solely use THEIR file-keeping system to which they (I) will lose access when they (I) leave. Zero sense.

I stayed away from here for a few days and I honestly feel better.
I’m mostly still here because I’m still on the job market and I feel like I NEED to be here to maintain visibility while I continue looking for work in the profession I love.
And while I like some of you, I really hate it here.

בעיירה בה אני נמצאת בסלובקיה חיים 20 יהודים. באירוע הדלקת נרות הערב נמצאים אנחנו, רב חב״ד מהעיר הקרובה, ראש המועצה, עוד כמה אורחים ישראלים פה במלון ומשהו כמו עשרה שוטרי יס״מ סלובקים חמושים. כיף להיות יהודי בעולם.

מי אתן, נשים מוזרות ליד הבריכה, שביום ראשון בו כולם סביבכן נחים בחופשה שלהם, שנדמה לכן שזה סבבה לצפות בסרטונים בטלפון שלכן בלי אוזניות?!?!?!
אמא שלי מחליפה דגמי אייפון לעיתים דיי תכופות ובד״כ אחותי מקבלת את הדגם ״הישן״. כשאמא שלי החליפה מ-14 ל-16, לאחותי היה 13 שהיא קנתה בעצמה איזו שנה קודם ולי היה SE ישן עם מסך שבור אז ה-14 היה אמור לעבור אליי אבל הוא היה לי גדול מידיי אז ״החלפתי״ עם אחותי. שנים שלא קניתי בעצמי אייפון חדש.
