Last month over 17,500 voices signed our petition to #StopTheCuts. After handing this in at the Scottish Parliament, we have now launched our manifesto outlining our vision of a better future for dementia care in Scotland.

If you notice a sudden change, try to stay calm and take note of what’s happening. Reach out to a healthcare professional for guidance. 💜

What is the difference between Alzheimer’s disease and dementia?

🧠There are many types of dementia but Alzheimer’s disease is the most common. Other types include Vascular dementia, Lewy body dementia, and Frontotemporal dementia.

The form includes details such as recent photographs, medication details, key phone numbers, daily routines and familiar places the person may visit.

If the person goes missing, the completed document can be shared with police immediately, to enable a quicker and more effective response.

Have you heard of the Herbert Protocol?

The Herbert Protocol is a downloadable form to help keep people with dementia safe. Carers and relatives can record key details about the person, ready to share with police if they go missing. The form should be stored somewhere safe and easy to reach.
