Mega Abomasnow ex is capable of being in a *really* silly deck alongside a Kyogre from this same set. I'm talking "half the deck is made of Water Energy" kind of silly. I'm not convinced the deck is particularly great, but it sure is funny.

I was a very big theater kid, but I also did a lot of music in my youth, so as a result, I enjoy both.

And not shockingly, I was much more into theater, so I've been much more into speedrunning too as I've gotten older. 🤣

That lunatone is actually being used in a competitive viable deck! @tghsr.stream is using it in his Gholdengo ex deck these days. May not be an expensive card, or one collectors are all about, but it's a good draw engine!

Oh I absolutely understand. I wasn't correcting out of support for either team, I just don't want the shit Libretro Team did to Near to be pinned on the wrong folks. The RA staff still need to be reevaluated as they've fucked up in their own way.

Oh for sure. I wasn't posting the correction out of support of either team, and I heavily use bizhawk for RA anyways. Interface always made more sense to me.

I fucked up and said they (Libretro) aren't behind Retroarch when I 100% meant RetroAchievements, but hopefully the included links helped get the point across beyond my egregious typo! My bad on the typo, but wanted to make sure the info was correct.

Team Libretro (as far as I can tell from the list of team members on the github for Retroarch) are not the people behind Retroarch. Retroarch is one of many emulator front-ends that people can use with RA functionality.

The names I'm seeing behind the libretro github and the staff list I see on RA's site aren't matching at all? I'm down to be wrong about this, just want to know where else I should be looking. The Libretro github list was all I could find on them specifically.

I can understand people automatically associating the two from name alone, or due to the fact RetroArch is the frontend that gets publicized the most with Achievement functionality. It's an easy thing to do, it just isn't correct.

Do not take me correcting this misinformation as defending either team's actions, I just don't want that spreading like wildfire and the wrong accusations get thrown around at the wrong people. RA staff def need to be reevaluated, even with the backpedalling they did yesterday.

There's a piece of misinformation regarding the RetroAchievements team being the same team behind RetroArch (who are responsible for a lot of BS including but not limited to bullying Near).

As far as I can tell, they are not the same people at all.
