Please keep calm and avoid any restrictions to our right to protest. Advise Minns against his planned prohibition of protests, as it would have the effect of inflaming tensions. Don’t let the debate get hijacked by special interest groups seeking to silence opposition to the genocide in Gaza

This is the most serious threat to civil liberties in this country since the Australia card. We stood up to government overreach then, and we must do it again now. Minns must know if he bans protests, they will happen regardless. I will be arrested before I abandon the cause of the oppressed

We must all be vigilant in protecting our civil rights during this time. Peaceful protests didn’t cause antisemitism any more than ISIS operates in Gaza. Stop using this tragedy to push your own agenda. Any attempt to restrict the right to protest is exactly what would ignite the flames you fear

We must not let religion dictate our future. Australia is a politically secular nation, with freedom for everyone to worship even the fairies and brownies if they choose. There’s also lots of atheists too. We are united by love for each other and our country.

Josh Frydenberg spoke passionately yesterday, and I agree with 95% of what he said, but stop the protests? How can you be against the slaughter of innocents, and support Israel’s actions in Gaza? Protest against genocide are essential and should continue until the killing stops.

Some in the Jewish community have confused protests against the genocide being perpetrated by Israel as antisemitism; it is not. I can simultaneously have empathy for Palestinians and Jews. I believe shooting civilians with high powered guns is equally horrific whether they’re in Bondi or Gaza

Having a peaceful family gathering disrupted by gunfire is anathema to the Australian people. We are all shocked, and feel a devastating loss of innocence. We are proud of our multicultural society, and I hope we can all pull together, and not let racists use this tragedy to push their own agenda

I quite agree. All the profits made from graft and corruption should be seized by the government as proceeds of crime, and prosecute and jail all those who participated in those crimes.

Stranger. Only two seasons, but fascinating police drama. Resident Playbook a spin off of Hospital Playlist, both excellent hospital dramas. There are so many great Korean shows on Netflix
