Grind is made on the Dread engine. Originally it was just Dread but when they started making it into a "real game" they rebranded it. Things move so fast!

Walking egg-dude Dizzy is back, and he's the cover star of the latest edition of Amiga Addict! Issue 39 also features a review of his latest game, Fast Food 2. Amiga Addict is by far my favourite magazine still in print, and one day I hope to have the chance to write for them. (Having said that, three of the mags I've previously contributed to have ceased publication, so maybe I'll play it safe...) It has all the "feels" of a classic video game magazine from the 1990s heyday, while simultaneously being completely modern.

WH Smith memories:

Teenage years: Looking at all the Amiga mags. Usually buying an Amiga Shopper, Amiga Format or CU Amiga. Sometimes even an AUI.

In my forties: Being absolutely delighted to see Amiga Addict magazine in a physical shop and buying it with glee.

Well, if we're going to share our WH Smith memories

1) Aged 9, standing and looking in awe at a ZX81 on display, switched on and plugged into a TV. Mind blown

2) Aged 49, wondering why it was so dark in there – lights barely on, also the fridges barely cold – I guess it was to keep the bills down
