Community connectedness boosts HIV preparedness in transgender women of color in NYC. Those with strong connections are 62% more likely to consistently use condoms and 16% more likely to test for STIs. Strengthening community ties is crucial.

California’s flavored tobacco ban led to a 37% drop in e-cigarette nicotine sales and 11% drop in cigarette sales, with no spike in sales in neighboring states. Some flavored alternatives persist via loopholes. Stronger rules may deepen impact.
