Made the mistake of doing a dramatic reading of the Boscov's holiday gift catalog during lunch and now my 5yo won't stop sniffing the perfume sample sheet and shouting "VIVA LA JUICY"

This is what I have to say about making a living as a writer

Ok so you know what really sucks about grief is that the memorial can be over and time can pass and you're starting to feel like you're adjusting and getting used to it but then BAM all of a sudden you're staring down the first big holiday without them and everything opens up again

“I asked ChatGPT” well I asked a group chat with many beautiful women, and they gave me valid input, and also, I now know someone’s dog just puked and that Mrs. Meyer’s released a new scent

Welp, seems like a good day to run to Costco to pick up a few things

Just a friendly reminder as we go into the holidays:

Folks don't have to explain to you why they don't drink.

If you offer them a drink and they decline, don't ask them why. It's not your business.

Just offer them something without alcohol to drink instead. And move on.

Happy "kids are off school but parents are not off work" days to all who celebrate

My 5yo: Mom! We got these hand clappers at the holiday parade! Listen to this! **deafening clattering** We are going to use them when we need to get your ATTENTION! 😃

People are always saying stuff like, "I don't know how this thing on social media blew up into such a big drama," and I'll tell you: I dont know. But it’s a tradition for social media to make everything into a giant drama and here's how it goes.

Other than watching kids, I think the category of “food” (purchasing, planning meals, cooking) might be as much work as every other household task combined.

I can't understand why any parent in their right mind would want to hire a newborn photographer. What a waste of time and money. I've literally never met a newborn who could hold a camera, much less take decent photos with it.

I always said I'd never lie to my kids, but no one prepared me for how much of driving my children in the car would include pretending to have seen ineffably extraordinary things they pointed out, to avoid meltdown. "MAHHHMEEE, BWUE TWASH TAN!!!" Yeah bud, blue trash can, definitely saw it for sure!

A not insignificant portion of the emotional labor of being a woman (in relationships or the workplace) involves figuring out a way to give instructions that are a) clear enough to prevent confusion or mistakes but b) not so minute and specific that the recipient feels micromanaged or infantilized.

People keep talking about a Keith Urban and quite frankly I am tired of this administration's obsession with cancelation and gutting and defunding everything. Why must we ban the urs too

She was a girl with the patronage of Rosings Park and a keen interest in the environmental welfare of the shades of Pemberley and a chimney-piece that cost eight hundred pounds
Can I make it any more obvious? 🎵

"It's a very nice scab," said Mrs. Wisser, but she did not look as if she really thought it was nice.
Beginning Monday, a Frozen Peppermint Hot Chocolate drink will be available exclusively at Starbucks cafés inside Target stores.

The chains are hoping the drink can drum up excitement from customers this holiday season.

I'd like to recant some of the things I have said about Stephanie Meyer, E.L. James, and Dan Brown
“Baby, don’t worry,” he said. “It’s not a worm.”

With the news of the repugnant Operation Charlotte's Web, I can't wait for Homeland Security to release their next programs, Operation Goodnight Moon (defunding NASA), Operation Green Eggs and Ham (defunding the FDA) and Operation Busytown (the worm in RFKJr's brain stages a coup against Mamdani)

Hey quick question for the lowest common denominator film buffs like myself, do @hubby2sewistwrites.bsky.social and I need to have any further knowledge of the Ghostbusters franchise *beyond* the original movie in order to understand and enjoy Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire?
