A few thoughts about today's protests:

1) The April 5 Hands Off day of action clearly ranks as one of the very largest mobilizations in U.S. history, by two different measures:
-- total national turnout (~ 3 million)
-- number of local protests (~ 1400)

That was some real ‘shawk and awe’ today huh?
Trump sure as hell did not make America great today.

Trump’s trade war was always a losing game, and today he caved—because even the right was panicking. This wasn’t strength, it was damage control. We all lose in a trade war.

Hi all, We’re still here at OPM.

We have a situation where we MIGHT, and I do mean, MIGHT have four of Elon’s people blocked from the building.

Can we get press or a member of Congress down here? We’ve blocked them for two hours and they keep coming back and trying to go in.

I hope people see how truly alarming this is:

1. Musk's team, who may not even be US govt employees yet, have complete access to OPM's databases of PII on federal employees and have locked out career employees

2. Musk's people trying to do same with THE US TREASURY MASTER PAYMENT SYSTEM 🚨

“…lower productivity jobs in the public sector to higher productivity jobs in the private sector…” is flat out wrong. To the 2 million Fed employees: thank you for all you do to serve the American people every day. Stay right where you are. We need you.
