Garth Marenghi and his work may not be real BUT his creator & actor Matthew Holness is. Holness would go on to write actual books as Garth Marenghi. The most recent, “The Bursted Earth”, will be out at the end of this month

“Garth Marenghi's Darkplace” is a british comedy from the early 00s that’s a parody of 80s anthology horror/sci-fi series that was created, written, directed & acted in by comedians Richard Ayoade and Matthew Holness. Think of it as a horror/sci-fi version of “Police Squad!”
