That’s a good way to make the lie reality. If you tell law enforcement to ignore right-wing violence, and only pursue left-wing violence, then poof all arrests and convictions will be left-wing, which you can use to say “look, there is no right-wing violence in the data!”

This matches well with the idea that the central concept of MAGA is owning the libs. They see that liberals tend to like renewable energy, so they want to stop it. They started that work in “blue” areas to more directly “own the libs”, but they will keep going at any cost to the US.

Why do people always skip the point of the bad apples phrase. A bad apple spoils the bunch. Allowing “bad apples” to be part of your group makes the whole group bad.

The “sharia law” thing is a great encapsulation of what is wrong with the GOP over the last couple decades. They take something that is not happening nor is likely to happen. Then say that it is happening and it is the most important problem to solve right now. Then they claim they solved it…

The president does not have the power to distribute money without congressional authorization whether the source of the money was income tax, or tariff taxes.

On the other hand you have Trump openly telling his DOJ to indict his opponents despite the DOJ saying there was no case to indict.

Summary: after an extensive search the DOJ acting as partisans found one document that could look like it was targeting republicans if you are willfully ignorant, but is actually a legitimate step in a legitimate investigation. AND it was intentionally handled separate from any politicals.

Like when the AG is asked if DOJ hAS pictures from Epstein of the president with underage girls. The easy answer would be “no”. The fact that she did not say no, and instead attacked the questioner, that probably means the true answer is “yes”.

When watching congressional testimony, watch for what these officials don’t say. When there is an easy answer that they don’t take, that is usually where they are hiding something.

It should be noted that he was one of the people who voted for the law that guarantees back pay. You would think he would review the legal analysis before implying that the law he voted for won’t actually be applied.
