He’s also reached “I don’t care, fire me” levels of being willing to say we’re all watching crap football. It’s great.
One of Troy's underrated qualities is he's pretty much always right about what is and isn't a penalty
Aikman was perfect on the call for that sequence.

They in fact did not because he could’ve just stayed the coach at Ole Miss and gotten to coach that team through the playoff.
Lane Kiffin: “We tried every thing possible to try to coach that team through the Playoff.”

This isn't really about litigating what happened at Northwestern, or whether Fitzgerald will be a good coach, but recognizing college football is a ruthless business about winning football games right now.

Don't let the people running it say otherwise.

Will never be doing that sort of scoop-teasing horse shit with @mittenfootball.bsky.social — just $8 a month for independent, honest coverage of FBS football in Michigan!

Got a bunch of fun stuff planned as the post/offseason gets going here, too!
the last Lizza post ended on a cliffhanger where Lizza teased a recording of Trump talking about the assassination attempt that would potentially "shatter our understanding of recent history." in the latest drop he reveals that he doesn't know what the recording was and also it has been destroyed.

This is good stuff and an important reminder that ESPN is going to be concerned with "promoting the sport it makes $ from broadcasting" before it's concerned with "journalism about this sport that makes us way less $" — proceed accordingly.

My full album from Ohio State's dismantling of Michigan is live now. It wasn't the outcome I hoped for, but I hope you'll take a look anyway and enjoy when a football stadium becomes a snow globe.

The genuine area college football actually deserves legislative intervention is irresponsible spending and financial commitments in coaching contracts. Public institutions making horrendous deals.
in all seriousness — if these moronic schools want to continue embarrassing themselves by telling themselves Lane Kiffin/James Franklin = Bear Bryant/Alonzo Stagg then they should hire agents ffs because these buyouts are beyond pathetic

So for the second time this season the Seahawks D/ST is going to almost single-handedly be the difference in a fantasy football win for your boy.

The regular season wrapped up on Saturday night to cap a year in the Mitten chock full of stories — and with four games still go to.

Planning to write about this dynamic for something for @mittenfootball.bsky.social — likely for tomorrow morning, because I am tired atm and trying to get a gallery from The Game published (sick photos, too!)
The people who make these hires absolutely do not care about the things you care about. I think we all get that.

But the "leader of men" thing that Fitzgerald made his primary calling card should've been severely damaged by this episode anyway. Not damaged enough for Michigan State.

He’s also evidently a good vibes guy and this all sets him up brilliantly for a long and storied career as a backup that gets you to 2-1 in a three week stretch with your starter out.
still think bryce young's limitations but a real ceiling on how good he can be but easy guy to root for and it rocks seeing him dealing to knock off the rams

Moore will also be playing in Mount Pleasant next fall for CMU

DeWitt captures second state title in program history.
Traverse Moore finishes with a state title game record 397 rushing yards on 32 carries. He had four TD runs and also threw for a score.

I just realized I asked the final question of Jonathan Smith as MSU head coach last night. Can’t rule out that I’m the kiss of death just yet…

Pure musing but I wonder if J Batt gives Buster Faulkner a look for MSU. Been great at GT and I imagine there's familiarity since Batt came to EL from GT.
