I must admit, when Cal Raleigh came up to bat in the 8th last night I did end up putting a “rally shoe” on my head to call for some kind of help from the “baseball gods”, and he did immediately hit a home run afterwards. i’ve officially fallen for it 😔

every time the mariners do something really cool either the brewers or dodgers gotta overshadow it. mariners kill the blue jays in game 2, brewers hit a wild double play. mariners hit a grand slam in game 5, shohei ohtani has the greatest postseason performance of any player in mlb history. rude.

also one of my mom’s boyfriend’s kids told me Shohei Ohtani was “overrated” back in early 2023 or so, and today he’s thrown 10 strikes over 6 shutout innings with two hits allowed AND hit three home runs. possibly the greatest baseball player of all time. overrated my ass.
