Saw this on FB Nov 78… first season in the 4th, wasn’t spectacular but kinda steadied the ship. Only other Pompey connection I can see is Goddard for Newport who later broke his leg at Fratton park. It was a very loud crack and could hear it all over the park.

Just watched the original 1976 “Assault on Precinct 13” in the first time in 40 years. What a bloody good film it is for a lot of low budget names.

Today in 1979 the Legendary 😎 Phil Ashworth made his Debut against Darlington, He scored two decent goals and I thought hello we are onto something here… the rest is history as they say.

Just heard “Emotion” by Samantha Sang.. not really my music then but it did remind me of having left school and well into my Electrician Apprenticeship,and having money to spend.
Buying Clothes, going to nightclubs and more away games with Pompey. It was a carefree happy time.
