It's another weekend where I'm eyeing up the Wooden Spoon... #AoS
A 10-75 loss to Sam, not shown in Tabletop Battles because it fundamentally doesn't understand Noxious Nexus.
andyjennings314.bsky.social
A pretty close game against Dave's FeC, but he deployed better and my dice were sulky. Nearly drew with a Turn 5 hail Mary, but them's the shakes.
#AoS
Top of Turn 1 Top of Turn 2 Top of Turn 3. 63-73 loss to Dave Rockett.

When you see the Team NI dice come out next to the Angry Dwarf Gunline, you know it's going to end with Kragnos in a smoking crater.

SUBMARINE TIME
#AoS
Start of Turn 1. I have some models on the board. Start of Turn 2. I don't have a lot of models on the board. There were none left at start of Turn 3. A 27-72 loss to Colin.

Got a nark on and glued on the sand on the way to bed, and dear lord this is going to be a problem, because they are absolutely literally the same colour.
The sand-coloured sand, glued to the sand-coloured base. I'm not joking, they are literally the same colour.

Day 9 of Painttober, and we have a tube for the steam drill, a fine white undercoat, and a whole ONE colour of paint! I'd have done basing with the sand as well, but my amazing command of time management made its appearance.

My steampunk Hearthkyn, undercoated white, with his entire base painted a flat sand colour.

My wife found a cheap and cheerful spice rack to stick on the pantry door, so finally my boys are reunited, and future dinners should be less bland.
A hanging spice rack, filling half of a door with tasty goodness.

That's LinkedIn all over to me; it might cloak itself in the gravitas of a professional environment, but it's just as divorced from reality and hinged on engagement as any other social media platform.

Trying something new but familiar in the new year, and going to do one of the official GW tournaments at Warhammer World. Watch this space for The Mighty One-Rollers! #AoS

I fear that you have to book train tickets the femtosecond you know you need them in this country 🙁
andyjennings314.bsky.social
Apparently just about doable! My Shards need some love on the bases, but I reckon the job's a good 'un!
andyjennings314.bsky.social
To a certain extent; I'm aiming for the Coolest Army trophy, and that needs a fairly good paint job to carry my conversions.

One afternoon to get my Forbidden Power spells ready for GAF Jamboree next weekend, as I'm busy all week. Doable?
#AoS #miniaturepainting #godIhatehashtags
The unpainted models for my custom Forbidden Power work set, which I'll describe properly when they're painted, and the paints to paint them.

Part of my planning is a basic colour chart of 50/50 mixes, just so I know what I'm working with. And apparently what I'm working with is "pastels".
A matrix of the colours I got mixed together, with black and white mixes too.

Day 3 of the @travellingmanuk.bsky.social Age Of Painttober, and I've given up on waiting for a well-lit day to film the obligatory TikTok, so here's what I've kitbashed.

It's going away for a week until I have time to start painting, but I have a plan!

#AoS #tmanpaintchallenge #ageofpainttober
The previously-described four colours and sand, and a Hearthkyn warrior assembled with the head of a Grundstock Thunderer and the steam drill from the Dwarf Miner kit.

Come out to Milton Keynes in November, to see me fumbling my way through trying to make my FeC work because the Ogres have weird points prices now!

From what I've seen from unboxings so far, it seems to be a 50/50 split of AoS and 40k models. I got a Votann Hearthktn, who is getting a mess of Dwarf parts mashed into him.

Day 1 of my Age of Painttober project, here's the unboxing!

A bit sad my mini was 40k shite, but kitbashing is allowed, so we'll dig out some Kharadron bitz. Paint selection is cool - I'm already plotting some verdigris. And the sand is... sand.

#AoS #tmanpaintchallenge #ageofpainttober
My mini and paints for the Travelling Man Age Of Painttober contest. The mini is a Leagues of Votann Hearthkyn Warrior. The basing material is some extremely basic uncoloured sand. The paints are a Citadel Kakophoni Purple (a very pastel purple), a Vallejo Brassy Brass (exactly what it says on the label), an Army Painter Hydra Turquoise (a mid-tone turquoise), and an AK Dark Sand (a very light sand-colour basically identical to the provided sand).

I thought I'd step outside my wheelhouse a bit, and try a bit of a technical painting challenge. Prepare to see me crash and burn immediately!

People of BlueSky, I need your opinion! I've got the parts for my Ogre-themed Shards of Valagharr - two pairs of the beartrap hands from the Ogre Blood Bowl kit.

Do they look better facing outward or inward? I had prepared outward, but now I'm doing the dry run, I'm in two minds.

Being unwell and having to miss the tournament meant I had a frontline seat to bring absolutely correct
The aforementioned package.

I now look forward to Royal Mail completely ignoring this, and trying to deliver my Sky-Port Profiteer proxies tomorrow when nobody is in. As they do any time I try and pre-emptively reschedule a delivery. Don't know why they give you the option.
Royal Mail pretending they've acknowledged I want a package delivered on Monday, instead of Saturday when the house is empty.
