Yeah, I got two. One with Nylon Strings and one with Steel. The guitar with Nylon is used always when I'm busking. It has a special pic up for these strings. And for the other I use an old microphone from a broken head set, that I fixed on the guitar with tape. I use them also for recordings.
And this was precisely what made Bach great. If you listen to hip hop, you'll always find a tiny moment of harmony. And the intention, even if it's often not acknowledged, is reflected in the lyrics.
That's true. But if you haven't one. Sometimes you can simulate the energy in the mix, as you create the sound and the kick of the tambourine. But anyway a real one is the top.
Hi Max, I mean that in the line of music history. Chuck Berry sang "Roll over Beethoven". That was't only a joke. It was a statement. A statement that pointed out that rock 'n' roll isn't just noise, but uses harmony.
I think the Beatles developed their own genre. It's just that it's not so easy to distinguish it from what came before. You can even find Bach in hip hop today, if you can sense it.

But to get back to your question, I'd say with every new song, I'm moving on the threshold of a new genre.
That's really not an easy question. I think the genre goes hand in hand with the specific and individual development of musicians.
Listen to the Beatles, for example. In the early years they covered rock 'n' roll or songs like Anna (Go To Him). And of course they also wrote their own songs.
Hi Max, I use it often and enjoy it, but it's a tambourine sample.
I've got some hundreds, but the earliest are 4 track casette demos from 1982.
Some of them are new re-recordings, more than 45 years later, like this one ;-)
