Germany is turning to Polish tech to power its next generation of military satellites. Defense giant Rheinmetall has signed a technology supply deal with Polish deep-tech firm SATIM to support the Bundeswehr’s SPOCK-1, a next-generation satellite reconnaissance program for the German armed forces.

23 December 1944 | An Austrian nun, Maria Cäcilia Autsch, died in Auschwitz camp hospital. She was arrested due to a denunciation on a critical comment about Hitler. On 26 March 1942, she was deported to Auschwitz. She was wounded after some bombs hit the SS hospital in Birkenau.
