Always a treat to see the Hades style trending! Time to re-share the portrait I did in this style for Comedygoldatragedy on tumblr of their #ExaltedTTRPG character, The Boy With the Seven Word Name.

A detail of the art showing off the character’s bloodstained lion motif shoulder pauldron, his lion claw necklace, and his ornate soulsteel regalia. A teen character stands by nonchalantly while his big honking sword speeds to his beck and call.

Fashion design sketches for Lady of October. I incorporated Opal folklore, which is said to make the wearer invisible by utilizing eye motifs. Chains drape like skeletal ribs & butterfly veins as she trails opaline gossamer.

Original drawing available -> angelicshades.etsy.com/listing/1027...
Fashion drawing of a ghostly goddess adorned in a gossamer veil and dress. Drawn in marker and pen. A detail of the fashion illustration drawn in marker and pen which shows off the details of her multilayered necklaces and flower crown.

The coins from inside the drawstring pouch. Inspired by the gambling game Zeni Hajiki. They're real metal just like the tsuba! I can't stop touching them. The fact they're metal gives it that extra special touch.

Metal coins in a Japanese style with Sucker Punch's logo and a gingko leaf engraved on them.

This is now the COOLEST thing I own. Thx to my darling husband @cien.bsky.social for this handsome early birthday present!🤩 Farewell, friends. If you need me, I'll be off on my roaring rampage of revenge in Ezo.

#GhostofYotei
A kintsugi style mask on a display next to a wolf-themed tsuba with a canvas drawstring bag. All part of the fantastic Ghost of Yotie Collectors set. A popup book of paper art of a golden ginkgo tree and a wofl beneath it inspired by Ghost of Yotei. A close-up of the wolf themed sword guard which came with the set.

I really -must- bring some of these old unused concepts back for a spoopy autumnal piece. They were all so delightful!
angelicshades.bsky.social
Thumbnail sketches for Lady of October. My journey with this painting began with a bevvy of beautiful choices for the Lady's composition exploring her ghostlike nature as she floats through the mists above her spirit shrine.

Ushering in my fave month with "Lady of October" the Lady of Lost Souls. She guides lost spirits with the scent of marigolds & her trailing veil. Representing the Opal birthstone & Marigold birth flower. #Watercolor & ink.

A detail of Lady of October's watercolor and ink piece showing a closer look at the many petals floating around her, her intricate headpiece, and flowing opaline veil. The original framed painting of Lady of October shown in-context and to-scale on a white wall accented by polished bronze decor and dried flowers. The watercolor paintings soft colors create an atmosphere for misty autumn vibes.

A reminder, friends! When I say “all art forms”, I don’t just mean drawing, painting, etc. I also mean writing, music, homebrew, cosplay…whatever the topics inspire you to create!

I won’t be re-sharing genAI created works, however, for moral reasons.

Have fun! Make ALL the things!
angelasasserart.bsky.social
I wasn't confident they were gonna be able to keep it fresh, but they keep dropping new tidbits here in there. It's very impressively planned out!

⚠️ I love how we don’t unlock Demeter till after you reach the surface, for example. Also GOSH I adore her ice arm wamers & snow cloak! Gorgeous design.
Demeter, goddess of the harvest, as depicted in the first Hades game.

I’m glad you’re resting up and have something fun and beautiful like Hades 2 to distract in the meanwhile. It looks sooo gorgeous! I’m working my way through the first game finally and loving it, which I shamefully haven’t finished yet. 👀

Also, have some design spam for more pretty distraction!

Cover illustration by Eleonor Piteira of the book 'To Clutch A Razor' by Veronica Roth, featuring two identical men standing in the same pose, one of them has a gold halo around his head and is holding a gold book with pages flying away from it. One of the pages has a drawing of a sword. On the background tile rooftops and a church are painted red. Book cover illustration by Eleonor Piteira of the book 'Evocation' by S.T. Gibson, featuring a blond man in a dark suit upside down in the hanged man tarot pose, with a mysterious red hand grabbing at his chest. He is framed by a silver border. Cover illustration by Eleonor Piteira of the book 'What Wakes the Bells' by Elle Tesch, featuring a young white woman with light brown hair, with her back towards the viewer, face in profile, in front of a circular gothic-style window with stained glass. There are 5 figures in the stained glass design. Smoke hides the bottom half of the woman while skulls carved in the stone beneath the window peek through. Cover illustration by Eleonor Piteira of the book 'The Mercy Makers' by Tessa Gratton, where a cocky dark-haired woman in a red dress and a mask made of magic is smirking at the viewer as she manipulates golden geometric threads with her hands. The hand with the red silk glove is removing a thread, the other is holding a sort of stylus and drawing a new thread. Below, there is the silhouette of a city, and one moon.

This wraparound style cover features a man in a cryo pod clutching a sword on the front, with the back cover featuring other characters fighting a large muscular monstrosity on all fours with multiple eyes. WARRIOR YALP! I’ve finally finished my 1st escape to the surface, which surprised me because I found the final boss easier than Elysium’s.

But knew in my heart of hearts getting out was going to have bittersweet results.🥲

But now to make the run again (and again). Our journey’s not over yet, Zag!
The end screen results of Ang’s Hades run. Took about 40 minutes and Hermes run ability that gives you damage resistant saved her butt.

⚠️ Got jump-scared by Thanatos in Elysium! I was wondering when he'd show up. He's so tsundere every time Zag meets him as to be absolutely hilarious.

I STILL can't beat his kill streak. Dirty cheater with his big ground portal AOEs!

I still look at this and think 'how the hell did she paint ALL these guys???' Such an impressive and powerful piece that took an unreal amount of patience to make!
