There will be an escort element where to complete each level you have to successfully move a piece of equipment to the end along the ropeway.

You're infiltrating a long term nuclear waste storage facility and creating a ropeway to transport waste out.

Puzzle/platformer: heavier on the platformer.

I imagine the rope doing 3 main things:

1) manoeuvring the character
2) transferring force between objects
3) laying the ropeway

Spent a week getting ropes working(mostly) with moving platforms. Honestly got a bit ahead of myself since my next step was supposed to be placing multiple lengths of rope but I wanted a better idea of what ropes would actually be like first.

I hadn't but I'll definitely take a closer look at it. Definitely in the phase of being unsure how much potential there is in the rope for novel platforming challenges.

I wanted the character to have a low powered jump but I realised I'd need some way to climb around doorways in that case so I added rear wall clinging as well. I've also added non-clingable surfaces. I think I've got most of my core character stuff in now so I'll start testing some level designs.
