At last! Congratulations, @animeherald.com it's gorgeous.

I really like how the warm, different colors demarcate each article but are also easy on the eyes.

And what a difference there is between online and print, this just feels like the big time, like AH has really made it.

Can confirm, @sam-animeherald.bsky.social was super picky when deciding on publishing partners; we spent about three months getting opinions from folks who've published independent media before. We wanted this to be special, and we're so glad everyone's enjoying it. 🥹
Look what just came! Haven’t had a chance to do more than thumb through it but my initial impressions, are that this isn’t a magazine, it’s a book.

The paper, binding and print quality are every bit as good as the CLAMP artbook I got yesterday.

There sure is a lot to read in this but if you're looking for something to really dive into rather than just browsing the pretty pictures then it's well worth it.

Inaugural issue of @animeherald.com Magazine came in and I'm loving leafing through it so far!

Chock-full of the kinds of essays I love to read (and write!), tastefully composed, and bookended by community promos and CITATIONS. Even has a mini-print in for a "subscription card"!

Excellent stuff.

From Spacetoon to Subtitles: How Arabic-Dubbed Anime Shaped a Generation
Even now, the initial sounds of the time-honored Arabic opening theme of Detective Conan or a Grendizer figurine in a shop window can induce a profound wave of wonder from childhood. It is living evidence that a brightly colored channel from our youth did a great deal more than shape our viewing habits; it defined a generation's sense of wonder, belonging, and identity.
