Wow! It's crazy how, with all it's zany hijinks, you can so easily forget that this show takes place in a postwar era. Seeing Loid's childhood be ripped away from him by the harsh realities of war was incredibly shocking & not a story I expected from this show, but am very excited to see more.

At first when we saw more kids, I thought we were getting another Anya story. Instead, we got some real backstory on Loid, even seeing his relationship with his father. Some real tonal whiplash here, but I am crazy excited & very much am looking forward to seeing more about his past.

Usually my least favorite type of SpyFam episode are the ones focusing entirely on Anya in school. This, however, was pretty fun.
Maybe it's due to being away for awhile or that I enjoyed her facing off against the kind of teacher I remember, the ones that get off on handing out demerits.

What an oddly specific conundrum we find ourselves in...
It feels a bit weird that Akane is so readily deferring to Ranma to defeat Mousse, especially since in Mousse's culture being defeated by her would nullify any proposal.

At first I wasn't taken with this new suitor for Shampoo/Akane, but the faces Shampoo makes whenever he is around are just too good!
Girl is either mortified at his very existence or so completely done with him.

Akane's face here absolutely killed me!
I love the added wrinkle of Shampoo moving in & further conflicting whatever love polygon we are up to now.
Shampoo's granny seems like a perfect shit-stirrer to keep thing interesting & was very fun in limited screen time.

Hear me out. Ranma may hate cats, but if he enters his cat-fist form, they can just be cats together. It's perfect!

Akane & Ranma are super cute when they're not punching each other.
I love that Akane's go to move is to turn Ranma into a girl since that seems to break her discomfort around him.

I love how this ED showcases moments from the entire run of MHA. They all hit hard, but pulling scenes from Season 1 feels like cheating at this point.
It's wild that I've been watching this show for almost a decade & I'm here to see the finale.

I still have mixed feelings about Bakugo surviving the death fake out from last season. I certainly think he should be part of the finale, as his character is integral to Deku & MHA as a whole, but seeming him survive such a brutal scene leaves a weird taste in my mouth.

There are so many striking visuals to this sequence. Finally bringing us back to Deku's fight to show him All Might in this kind of peril is crazy & AFO grinning so wide it rips his skin once he has won is insanely creepy.

Like, at some point, there was a guy whose entire quirk was, "I can shoot out all my blood" & All For One is just the kind of weirdo that would see that quirk & think that it'll probably be useful at some point down the line.

We're up to a trio! They seem to all have a fun dynamic, particularly through Shiori, as we didn't get a lot of Hitoshi/Sanda after the reveal.
I wonder if we will see them dive the mystery surrounding Shiori's missing friend, or if the anti-Santa tease keeps us busy next week.

He's so disgusting! I love it!
The details make this character so damn unsettling. The hands showing his true age is a wonderful touch & using his cane to contort his face to show emotion is so good!
I wish it was a tad less explainy about it, but overall this scene was awesome!

I love that the perspective change Sanda had in the first episode has completely altered the way he sees Shiori. She is now just a child to him & he is unable to see her in any other way.
