Today, we remember the December 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor, honor the more than 2,400 service members and civilians we lost on that “date which will live in infamy,” and recommit ourselves to caring for our veterans and their families.

SB 293 adds unnecessary hurdles to voting and especially absentee ballots, making it harder for seniors, students, and working families to make their voices heard. The right to vote is a cornerstone of our democracy, and this bill threatens that fundamental right. We must protect our democracy.

Today is the 70th anniversary of the founding of the AFL-CIO, which is the largest federation of unions in the world. The American Federation of Labor and the Congress of Industrial Organizations decided to merge together on this day in 1955 to make their collective power even stronger.

Wednesday’s session was a manufactured lame duck as House Republicans tried to push through as many bad bills as possible in the middle of the night. There’s still time for us to fight back! Call your Senators and Gov. DeWine and let them know that this bills will hurt Ohioans.

Ensuring that everyone has the right to vote is the cornerstone of a functioning democracy. These dangerous bills will chip away at this fundamental right. Call your reps and tell them that if they believe in democracy, that they should vote no on these bills! #vote #democracy #votersuppression

Ohioans voted overwhelmingly to enshrine reproductive rights in our state constitution in 2023. Fighting to protect these rights is not only the constitutional thing to do, but it also the best thing to do to protect women’s health in Ohio.

Today, Mike Johnson will keep the House adjourned for the 94th day out of the last 106.

12 days of work in 106 days.

With full pay and benefits.

The senate has been working, so this is not about the shutdown.

It is about avoiding a vote to release the Epstein files.

Friendly reminder:
the folks taking food away from
42 million Americans are the same ones who illegally shutdown USAID and lit 1 million pounds of food on fire instead of feeding it to the world's hungriest people.

Weaponizing hunger is deplorable. The GOP owns this.
