Today I received a letter and, surprisingly, it contained origami instructions for folding a bird. What a joy, because I've been a big fan of origami since elementary school. I folded a slightly different bird and now it sits in my crassula, which I'm currently nurturing. Thank you, #Nabu! #origami

It's International Strange Music Day, and the first thought was Cathy Berberian. I remember hearing her on the radio as a teenager, finding it very strange. Also thought her name was “Barbarian”. Don't know much by her, but like to listen to her every now and then.

A while back, I saved this recipe and, like so many others recipes, forgot it. Now I stumbled across it again, and since I had everything I needed, I made Egg Drop Soba today according to #happydonabelife. I'm thinking about making it again tomorrow because soba are simply delicious. #eggs #soba

Today it's warm again and I don't feel like cooking. I made Japanese tofu salad with shiitake mushrooms, carrots, spinach, and dried figs from Itadakimasu Recipe Cooking Japan, and cold kimchi noodles from The Korean Vegan.

A friend of mine told me about tahini matcha latte. We tried it out by mixing my usual matcha latte recipe with a tablespoon of tahini. Was okay, but maybe there's a better recipe out there. I used supermarket matcha, which probably doesn't deserve to be called matcha. #matchalatte #tahini #matcha

Today is International Lion Day: here is one of my absolute favorite lions. Frosty lives at Wildheart Animal Sanctuary, and I love watching her lie around. I also love all the other animals there that you can watch via webcam.
