The entire week @jsr.com and the kid were away I was worried that Naboo was being distant and withdrawn bc he never joined me in bed and didn’t want to hang out much, but since they got home last night he has been glued to JSR like a surgically attached koala. Guess we know who’s the favourite 😳

That was all in between running my Saturday errands, keeping up with Courtney and Ruth running UTMB and finishing a knitting project. I will try and take it easy tomorrow though 🥲

I baked banana choc chip cupcakes, peanut butter brookies, frosted London Fog biscuits, garlic focaccia, sandwich bread & sourdough. (Well, I prepared the sourdough dough, I’ll bake it off in a day or so.) HAPPY.

The heating is on. I have a wheat bag (neck) hot water bottle (lap) electric foot warmer (feets) hot coffee (hands, belly) and I’m STILL SO COLD 😰

Sometimes I look at my own Instagram grid and think wow, how lucky am I to have the means and access and ability to eat like this?! (I don’t spend a lot of money either, it’s mostly time and willingness and planning.)

A dozen colourful and varied vegetarian home-cooked meals.

“I’ll make a quick trip to Costco” actually I’ll get caught up behind a police incident on the motorway and get badly routed through the back roads and end up in Riverhead and Costco will be its usually Sunday chaos so… Not Quick. But I do have the $10/kg butter (unsalted; we take what we can get).

This morning the kid observed “You and Nana just trade containers back and forth forever… Thank you for the relish, here’s some cabbage. Thank you for the cabbage, here’s some soup. Thank you for the soup, here’s some tomatoes.” which is both ACCURATE and A DELIGHT TO ME.
