So this is what I’m working on today: Gibbi Point’s local hippie hut. Mereana lives in tune with nature, her door’s always open, and people are always coming and going for tea, herbs, and good vibes. She organizes yoga retreats, and hopefully this will double as a hippie bed and breakfast.

The market is ruthless. I’m pretty sure people at maxis were doing internal damage control too and having meetings to discuss the future, reassure employees etc

I’ve been there and yes - most employees learn about this stuff at the same time as everyone else. It’s privileged information because its a listed company and that information is considered insider information that affects the share price, so only people under the project NDA know

Also I 100% recommend playing with camp counselors too and creating some fun schedules for them after the kids are asleep (not sure why the first image isnt loading but I give up)

And yes I've created young Babs and Bjorn and they're from Gibbi Point. Barbara Lemoore lives with her brother Ben and her good for nothing father who's a criminal.

So I will admit I caved and bought he new pack. Have been quietly playing all week and I will swallow my words now because this has been the most fun I've had with the game in a LONG while. Getaways are tricky to program but at least the summer camp (I tweaked the schedule) works great

And just to be clear, this is an annoyance but there are other major things that actually affect rotational players like daring sentiments, changing relationships, failing university if you leave students alone etc. So this is more something to take into account before you plan a getaway.

But that’s exactly it, there Are other major things that affect rotational gameplay much more - this is a small annoyance at most and the headline makes it seem like a game breaking deal lol

You can check their parents back at home - you just can’t switch households. While the kids are at camp, their parents are still in the same household.

It's nice as a warning, the headline is still clickbait and makes it sound like your game will break...I play rotationally and this is the least of my problems haha

well it's an annoyance for sure, but how long does it take to plan it again if it's saved as a preset? I mean, the game has many issues but not sure this would be the biggest oversight...

Exactly this, tbh i never leave my households mid-party or mid-vacation...and honestly getaways are saved as presets anyway, when you're back in your household it takes literally 1 click to plan it again

Exactly...I just dont see the issue like at all. Just finish the stupid getaway before you switch households and that's it. Also it's not like it's super hard to set up, it's literally saved as a preset so when you're back in that household just convene it again

tbh I think the headline is misleading - with the current state of the game it makes it sound like it will cause bugs or corruption and thats not the case

Mindless mod folder and save file clean up night. Sometime ago I stopped using MCCC for story progression and started using neighborhood stories. I like being able to easily configure and turn it off for households. I like using this mod as well: www.curseforge.com/sims4/mods/n...

Yep they are backdrop builds! I guess with mods like blowtorch you can remove all the buildings but it’s so much work…I just wish someone recolored them to make them less ugly haha
