Jafar Panahi is getting the attention he so richly deserves. This film, while more accessible than his other darker works, is so swift and taut in its presentation that I marvel at it.

New #ClassicFilm essay today devoted to BRIAN AHERNE, whose good looks and formidable talent should have assured him of celebrity – had he not fallen prey to self-sabotage and indecision. It’s a great cautionary tale; I hope you’ll take a look. thatsallsiknow.blogspot.com/2025/11/bria... #FilmSky 🎥

Diane Keaton. She was truly something special. This is a lady who could bounce around from serious dramas to frivolous comedies and everything in between with ease.
Everything about her was the equivalent of watching someone perform with their heart on their sleeve.

A monumental loss.

Pretty clear that a lot of people jumped the gun on the motive behind Kirk’s assassination. The shooter:

1. Grew up in a Republican family
2. Donated to Donald Trump
3. Loved guns
4. Was steeped in Groyper culture

This isn’t a simple “raging leftist hated Kirk” scenario.
