Does VJ Edgecombe look like Tyler, The Creator to anyone?

There’s a celebrity who he looks almost exactly like to me, but I can’t place my finger on it.
A significant difference between this season and last is that Maxey appears far more comfortable being the team's primary option when needed. He doesn’t seem to be overwhelmed. I’m not sure how this will sustain over the entire season, but it’s very promising to see so far.
Tyrese Maxey is getting those chances for the Sixers now. and so far this season, they are not undeserved.
I’m not going to make any comments regarding the Sixers team for the long-term for this season or beyond, but so far, a significant difference with this season is that Maxey looks pretty comfortable being the number one guy if needed for the night
Anthony Black just SWISHED a half-court buzzer beater that, if this was last season, players would have waited until the clock ran out before “shooting” so as to not risk their 3pt % in case of bonus incentives.

The new rule is a W.
The Magic look gassed while the Sixers look like they're 6 minutes into the first quarter.
Philadelphia just cannot enjoy the playoffs since the Super Bowl.

+++++ Seeing an Actually Explosive Wing in VJ on the #Sixers is like Moses seeing the burning bush.

- - - - - Seeing the Hornets’ offensive approach being to go right at Embiid as he seems helpless to protect the paint.
You can't always rememeber specific lines within the hours of a game, but if you can remember a song, you can potentially remember a moment, and you can absolutely remember an emotion, and that's what LIS really got.

I say this fully living LIS, but that game has some problems with its writing and performances that are made much easier to swallow thanks to how the music acts as a crutch to lean on. It’s genius actually! It’s why LIS might be THE best use of licensed music in video games!
Was literally listening to "Mt. Washington" yesterday.
As I’m watching the Prime studio show, it feels very much like their goal is to duplicate the non-basketball sports studio shows TNT has for hockey and baseball, more so the latter right now, but I imagine they'll want to be more like the former as the season continues.
I’m still a little worried that the studio show might become a bit too “sterile” as the season progresses, similar to how Sunday Night in America for football seems like robots created it, but the in-game presentation is stellar.

Mike Tirico is also severely underrated
I wasn’t fond of the notion of splitting NBA games across so many platforms, but I have to admit that I appreciate the variety of presentations this offers.

If you’re not fond of one network, two others may be more to your liking, with more variety of commentators on them.

Shoutout to that era of games which were responsible for like 90% of the total drum 'n bass we have in the universe
I still don’t know if “The Chills“ by Peter Bjorn & John fit any soundtrack, but I still vividly remember it did!
I literally can't think of an NBA 2K game post 2009 without this immediately popping into my brain:

I also need to give whoever put “Spitting Games”, “Let It Dive” and “An Honest Mistake” on those MVP Baseball soundtracks an advent calendar.

Not EA, but I'm sure @colettearrand.bsky.social remembers when Pitchfork curated the s/t to Major League Baseball 2K8.

I don’t think there’s many in the middle of a venn diagram of “Indie music hipsters“ and “sports/sports video game fans“, but if you are, this piece is tremendous.

The first thing I do when launching a new sports game is check their soundtrack. FIFA has become a gold standard for this.
EA Sports games didn't slap a bunch of recent hits on the soundtrack and call it a day. They were often carefully curated to reflect the culture of their sport--and were a great music discovery tool, @colettearrand.bsky.social writes. www.endlessmode.com/article/ea-s...
EA Sports Mastered the Video Game Soundtrack During the PlayStation Era
EA Sports soundtracks were often as groundbreaking as the game themselves back in their PlayStation and PS2-era heyday.

The NBA poker stuff may seem shocking but if you are a fan of magic and card cheating like I am, you’ve known about this stuff for eons.
